Vi Peel ~ Results Day by Day

If you are thinking about getting a Vi peel, there are some facts you should know.

I am on day 4 so I thought you would like to hear a day by day progress. Before I begin there some facts I want to warn you about.

This is not a "light peel". I have had TCA, Obagi, laser and this is not light. I am on day 4 and there is no way I could go to work today. You will have to take at least 1 week off of work.

Also, I had my peel done by a Nurse Practioner trained for this peel. She works at a plastic surgeon's office.

So here is the scoops:

Sat: I went to get my peel Saturday afternoon. It is not "painful" but they rub pure acetone and the alcohol on your face. It was almost hard to breathe. She wiped my face with the swab and there was really no pain. My face looked greasy and tanned. I slept with the solution on my face over night.

Sunday: I woke up to a face that was not painful but it was tight and looking like leather. I washed off the solution. That evening I had to wipe my face with a wipe. I was swelling alittle by my eyes so I wore glasses and went to Staples. I didn't make any direct eye contact and had my husband check out. I was too leathery looking at this point.

Monday: I started to peel around my mouth. So I washed my face and applied both of the lotions that I was given. One is a moisturizer adn the other is sun screen. My face now is buring and is red and shiny. I cannot go out today. Applying makeup would be way too painful. Evening, I had to wipe with the 2nd towelette. That didn't hurt but the lotion stings like fire.

Tuesday: Peeling more. I wash my face, moisterize and it feels like I am pouring alcohol into a cut. It stings bad. My face is red, raw and no, I couldn't go out.

Wednesday: I was my shiny, glwoing red, swollen face. This is pretty bad. Today it is still stinging like fire when I put on the moisurizer. I can see the brown spots I had are still there. I am going to scream!

I don't mind pain for results but this is crazy. This was the Vi Peel with a booster so it is supposed to get better results.

Also, I can tell I am going to peel again because my face feels like I have a mask on. It is very tight, red, shiny and hurts like hell.

I'm not thinking I'll do this again. I can tell the way my face looks that it will be a few more days (at least) before I can go out. To give up a week of work for the results are not worth it.

I'll let you know tomorrow but so far I am saying, "do not do this peel".

OUCH!
