This smoothie will feed the body and the skin by providing nutrients, antioxidants and omega 3's. In this smoothie you will be able to receive health benefits of mangosteen juice. It is known to help slow ageing process.
The Mangosteen juice is made from a tropical fruit that is grown primarily in hot, humid climates of southeast Asia.
Unfortunately you cannot get fresh ones and will have to settle for the juice because they are not allowed to be shipped to the mainland US for fear of bugs. But you can find them in Canada and Hawaii.
They are a dark purple fruit about 2 to 3 inches in diameter – the size of a small peach or apple.
Instead of peeling it like an orange, a mangosteen are opened by pressing firmly or twisting the outside until it breaks apart. If you ever travel to a place where you can taste a fresh one, don't miss the chance. But until then, you can enjoy a Mangosteen Smoothie.
